About VPN Review

Why this site exists, and the rules we hold ourselves to.

VPN Review exists because most "VPN review" content on the internet is written to sell a specific provider, not to inform the reader. We built this site around a simpler premise: report what published, third-party testing actually shows, be plain about what a VPN can and can't do, and disclose the affiliate relationships that fund the site clearly, on every page.

What we do

We publish individual provider reviews, head-to-head matchups, and technical explainers covering protocols, encryption, jurisdictions, and privacy claims. Every factual claim about speed, server counts, or audit results is sourced from the provider's own published documentation or independent third-party test data — never invented, never assumed.

What we don't do

How we make money

VPN Review is supported by affiliate commissions from VPN providers when readers purchase through our links, at no extra cost to the reader. This never determines our verdicts — a provider paying a higher commission does not get a more favorable review. Our full affiliate disclosure is available at the top of every article.
